Phaltan is a city, a taluka and a counseling Satara district in the state of Maharashtra.
The town is about 59 km. (37 mi) north-east of the city of Satara and about 110 km. from Pune.
Phaltan has existing airport which was constructed somewhere in 1948. The aerodrome elevation is 567 m AMSL.
The airport is currently being used for chartered operations majorly for VIP's, VVIP's helicopter movement.
